I swear, you would think cats are nocturnal creatures. They are supposed be active during dusk and dawn due to an adrenaline rush, but the way our new kitten acts makes me think I have it all wrong. She sleeps all day. If you try to wake her up she will just sit up, the eyes will close and the head wobbles around and moments latter she is asleep again. She sleeps all day and parties all night. I remember those days - they were fun. She gets active around nine at night running around and terrorizing the other cats. Once I go to sleep at eleven, she gets me up around five am by purring and staring into my face. Don’t ask what happens when I ignore her. Just know that it is in my best interest to get up. But I have become smart about this. Now I just let the cat out on the patio and fall soundly back asleep.
