Cartoon fans of the Nickleodeon hit Spongebob Squarepants, have decided to create a church named after him. Titled “The Church of Spongebob.” the church is officially registered in the U.S., which teaches it’s own way of spiritual life.
Everywhere, from New York to California, members meet up for services. The 700-member congregation have taken a conversion sacrament to pledge loyalty to the church. In addition, there are also study courses based on the “scriptures of Spongebob”.
The church’s manifesto states it “promotes simple things like having fun and using your imagination.”
