Fuckin’ awesome, all I do is visit Madonna.com and listen to her singles streaming in high quality. I think that is really cool… and I love listening to this music. it’s filled with energy and passion with catchy hooks and smooth beats… it’s like ear candy. I love leo’s. they are such good candy. Not like I believe in astrology or anything…
I have taken lots of pictures but have not removed them from my camera since july I think, maybe august. Those images will have to be removed before this weekend. Tara and I are planning for a short drive around the western slope of the Sierra Nevada’s. the purpose is to see the fatties, i.e. the sierra redwoods. Winter season starts November 1 in those mountains and several roads will become closed. So far no big storm system has moved in the area so there shouldn’t be any snow right now.
Tara’s black widow had babies. There are about 100 – 200 of them. I had to let them go out in the desert about a half a mile behind our house.
I just booked a hotel in three rivers California for tomorrow night. I am really excited about seeing the big threes after all these years. I am finally doing it! I have been fascinated with the fat redwoods since I was a little kid. Their immense fattiness boggled my mind.
In case you are not aware, there are two types of redwoods: the slim tall trees in coastal northern California and Oregon and the fat ones that grow on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. These tress are monster fat.
Three Rivers elevation is 837 feet. Vegas is around 3200 feet. General Sherman tree, the most massive living organism on Earth is around 8000 feet elevation. Facts: Each year General Sherman adds in weight the equivalent of a 1 foot thick tree 60 feet tall. The lowest branch is larger than any tree east of the Mississippi. Its circumference is over 100 feet. Diameter is over 36 feet at base. It weighs and estimated 6167 tons. To gain perspective regarding the massive size of this tree, consider this. If an average man were standing next to General Sherman, the weight of the portion of tree BELOW his waist would weigh several tons more than a Boeing 737. A tree that could challenge these statistics would take about 3500 years to grow.
And there are many more giant Sequoias than this one. And people used to cut these down. They are so massive they would shatter into bits after falling down.
