The burst of writing followed by a large gap is nothing unique: this pattern has occurred several times before. During grade school I ended up with three journals. Each filled with a series of entries followed by a gap of a year or more between books. The last of these has entries sometime in tenth grade where I talked about Kelly, hockey and Chuck.

Well, some things change… and some don’t.
