i most certainly do not like the killers. several times i have been unable to complete listening to the album. it drives me nuts. there so much *noise* and makes me feel like its 4am after a night at a bar where there was drinking and smoking and loud music and jibber-jabber and assorted people and my mind is fried from all the stimuli like listening to the killers hot fuss.
there are good songs like “somebody told me” and “all these things.” “andy you’re a star” sounds an awful lot like the velvet underground.
the killers would be fine party, social background music, but not work and not for me.

it’s hot and humid out. there is sweet on my forehead for the first time all year. when beads of sweet appear on my forehead then i know that the humidity is above 10%. i don’t know how anyone can deal with it any higher than that!
there are so many bugs here. i guess thats what i get living on the edge of civilation. the housing complex is pretty much alone with the south side facing a vast desert that contains rattlesnakes, spiders, jack rabbits, kit foxes, big horned sheep, and lots and lots of insects!. there are a whole bunch outside on the door right now.
