My camera was never lost after all. I have taken a lot of pictures but I just never make the time to go through them and pick out the best. Anyway, that camera’s battery is shot. In addition, there are several dead pixels that appear on the images. That’s no good! Since we are going to San Francisco for a week, I know I will want to shoot pics! So today I bought a new camera. It has features that I am really looking forward to using. After taking thousands upon thousands of pictures over the last three years, certain new features will really help in expanding my art: wide lens, anti-shake, adjustable exposure time, and far higher quality image capturing!
Cocaine is falling from the sky like snow. It can’t be snow. No way. It’s Vegas so it must be cocaine. There is about an inch of snow on the ground right now. I have not seen that much snow in this valley since living here — even while living at the top of the bowl. Everything is pretty fucking white.

In October Tara and I took a wonderful drive over Christmas Pass south of Searchlight in the Newberry Mountains. The place is full of Juniper Trees that bare large amounts of delicious berries to eat. Anyway, when we exited the range and drove down into some valley, the sun set and the moon rose at the same time. Below are two pictures that capture an incredibly beautiful moment when light and dark coexisted:

the moon rising east over the newberry mountains at sunset.

blury pic of the moon through a creosote bush. trust me, it looks much cooler small then large.
